Lot of great routes in high winter
Staðarfjall is the mountain east of Hólárjökull glacier
and west of Kvíárjökull glacier. There is an unmarked 4wd track that starts
about 200 meters east of the bridge over Hólá river. From the end of this track
(if there is snow you might not get all the way) there is about 15-30 minutes
walk to the routes.
There are several routes even further west as we can see in this picture.
